Social Distancing

Updated: Jan 1

Well, we are definitely in uncharted waters. In a time when everything we do is social, they're telling us to distance ourselves from each other. Luckily for us, social media is virtual. It's needed now more than ever.

As dance teachers, most of us have never had to wonder what would happen if none of our dancers were allowed to come to class. But here we are, in that exact situation. Luckily, we are some of the most creative people out there, so we'll rosin up our pointe shoes and figure it out. There are several options for virtual classes and/or sending your dancers videos of the choreography they've learned so far. It's amazing that we've come together and shared ideas on how we can get the needed material to our dancers while social distancing.

Elevate Dance is, of course, meant to be used in the dance room with dancers, but being the creative people that we are, we can find ways to use it online. Let's share our ideas and continue to teach more than the steps.
