An Exciting Week Ahead!

Updated: Jan 1

This coming week is going to be incredibly exciting for me...I have three things on my schedule that I've never done before and all three are keeping me awake at night - out of excitement not anxiety!

On Tuesday, February 11, I will be a guest on the podcast Dance Boss! The host, Erin Pride, is an amazing woman who teaches dance to high school students, hosts her own podcast and started Dance Boss University, where she is working to help dance teachers across the country become more efficient, feel less burned out and reignite that spark that led them to teaching dance in the first place. Erin is a bundle of positive energy, someone that I immediately felt a connection to and wanted to get to know better. I'm so excited and honored to be a guest on her podcast. I can't wait to share my story and chat with Erin about all the things that inspire us to be better dance teachers. I hope you'll give it a listen!

On Friday, February 14, Elevate Dance will finally be available for order! I started this journey three years ago at my own studio, and this Friday my dream of sharing it with dance studios across the country will actually become a reality. Although I feel like this has taken longer than I would've liked, I think it is rather appropriate that it's happening on Valentine's Day! Dance was my first love, so this year on Valentine's Day I get to share my love of dance with everyone.

And, my last big event of the week is on Sunday, February 16 (OK, that's technically next week, but whatever)... Elevate Dance will be an exhibitor at the Dance Masters of Wisconsin February workshop in Waukesha, WI! It will be my first experience on the other side of the table - although I won't actually be on the other side of the table, I am the current President of DMW, so I'll be working that job, and one of my employees will be working the Elevate Dance table. I can't think of a better place to kick off my first experience as a vendor - the members of DMW are some of my closest dance friends, some since I was a young dancer attending the workshops. It seems to me to be the perfect place and the perfect audience to share my newest project. I've put my heart and soul into creating Elevate Dance. Sharing it with my own dance community first is the perfect ending to an exciting week.

Now I can't wait for next week so I can tell you how it all went!
